If you are on here complaining about a club you are still at, do everyone a favor and just leave. You are clearly not happy, and that is fine. That is exactly why other clubs exist. Go try one. What I do not get is why you stay just to complain, and even better why you come back to complain after you have already left. Move on. Touch grass. Find a hobby.
Why does an honest discussion of your club's pros and cons bother you so much, Paul?
Honestly, watching this thread hit 300+ pages is a masterclass in committed insanity. You people keep recycling the same tired rants every two weeks like you’re actually expecting a different result this time. It is genuinely impressive how much energy you spend being miserable. Let’s do a quick reality check for the folks in the back. Valor is a mid tier community club. That is it. If you are still hanging around here after U15 and expecting some big time recruitment miracle, you didn't just miss the boat, you are standing at the wrong harbor. It is honestly nauseating to watch grown adults stay in a situation they hate just so they can come here and cry about it over and over. You do realize you have the right to leave, right? No one is holding you hostage. Every club has its own set of pros and cons. If this one doesn't work for you, go find one that does and let the kids actually enjoy playing for once. The exit is right there. Use it!
Yet here you are, reading along on page 346, desperately trying to dissuade people from posting. Why?
Agreed- however the club has changed since the first post a couple years ago and as someone who has been there with multiples kid for multiple years I have opinions based on experience...and once we leave the club I will no longer care what they do, as my $ is going somewhere else. But it is fair to have open discussions on here so that current and future parents know that although things may change in the future...these are some of the things going on in the club currently. And as PP said- it is a mid-tier community club BUT still cost $3K+ so they "appear" to be elite...as a parent I would like to know first hand what parents and children are experiencing here and at any other club we are paying for to make the best deicison for our family. :) Staying or leaving Valor (or any other club) isnt the coversation- we all know we can leave.
Don't think this is true. Its still run by the same people overpaying themselves and underpaying the coaches, poor training, hiring complete newbies and parents to coach, and creating as many revenue teams as they can. Their older teams have been terrible for years because anyone who knows about soccer bails their kid out after a year or so. Look at how few teams even went to the Jeff Cup weekends, which is not even that prestigious any more (but still rejects almost all the Valor teams).
