There was no staging. The girl died from a combination of blunt force trauma to the head, but she was alive when the sex abuse happened because she bled and she was alive when the strangulation happened.

Could the family have done it? Sure. But there was no staging - somebody tortured and murdered this child.

That’s the problem I had with Steve Thomas’s explanation of Patsy getting upset and accidentally killing her completely ignores. The fact the sex abuse happened when she was alive and the strangulation happened when she was a lot to me that means he is just completely discredited.

He may be right that the family did it, but they didn’t stage it to cover up another type of murder. How she was murdered was how she was murdered.[/quote]

The coroner stated that she was alive but unconscious when she was assaulted with the paintbrush and ultimately strangled. The paintbrush injuries occurred very near to her death from strangulation.

Presumably whomever found her, found her strangled to death and would not have known there was a brain injury as the coroner stated that they were surprised to find it and there were no externally visible head injuries. [/quote]
