It's worse than anything you ever imagined. Trump announced that he is going to declare a national emergency and use the military in mass deportation of illegal immigrants. Here is the Martial Law I predicted. There goes our Democracy. https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-news/trump-national-emergency-military-deportations-1235169953/
Deporting illegal aliens is democracy in action. The laws say illegal aliens shouldn't be allowed into the country. Trump wants to enforce the law with his authority. Why are you complaining? If Dems want illegal aliens, they should vote for it openly instead of abandoning the border as soon as they get power.
I’m tired of this stupidity. Democrats do not want illegal aliens. MAGA is just incapable of understanding nuance. It’s like dealing with the intellectually disabled.
Democrats say they don't want illegal aliens, but they won't deport them and won't stop them at the border. Democrats' actions say loud and clear that Dems want illegal aliens. Same goes for elected Republicans, who are too dumb to elect people to represent their interests.
No moron. Democrats do not want to deport those here on asylum. MAGA conflate illegal aliens and asylum seekers, see Springfield, OH.
The odds of that most of these people do not have valid asylum claims. Haiti has one of the highest denial rates for asylum applications. The situation in Haiti is very unfortunate, but economic conditions do not make someone eligible for asylum.
We have a legal process to follow to rule they don’t. Asylum =|= illegal until it’s ruled as such. Democrats believe in the rule of law.
Crossing the border in between the ports of entry is against the law. Democrats do not believe in the rule of law. They believe in chaos and lawlessness. We see that in their support of illegal immigration and of violent criminals.
It's not illegal to cross the border and request asylum. If you want it to be illegal, you need to change the law. The President cannot merely declare it so, Congress has to do it. Biden and Democrats have been telling you this for the last 4 years but you still don't understand.
You are wrong. It is illegal to cross in-between ports of entry. You can ask for asylum after crossing illegally once you touch US soil but you've still committed an illegal act in crossing without authorization. That was the basis for arresting parents and separating them from their children during Trump's last administration.
That's not what the majority of the asylum seekers have done. They have presented themselves at the port of entry requesting asylum.
That isn't what was said but you're still wrong. 76% of pending asylum cases are defensive asylum. Defensive asylum is when a person crosses the border (or overstays a visa) and asks for asylum once they're already in the country illegally. Google is your friend.
Oh yes. I forgot to claim asylum before leaving the homeland. Then I forgot to again when I crossed Hondrauns, Blize, Guetemala, and Mexico. ANd I forgot to go south to more SPanish speaking countries, and went north to an English speaking country. Then I snuck in. When I was caught I said I forgot some other things, like a birth certificate, or my actual age, or name. But I remembered to claim ASYLUM. They gave my fake name a court case and I'm gonna forget about that too. worked for my friends.
+1 Amazing how many passports, driver's licenses, and other documentation have been found discarded before arriving at the border. Who needs it? You can pretend to be anyone. Border officials say migrants crossing into the United States using fake documents — or ditching them altogether — are making it harder to identify them. NewsNation’s Ali Bradley reports coming across piles of discarded documents along the U.S.-Mexico border. When people do come in without a form of identification, they are processed by Customs and Border Protection using whatever information is provided by the migrant themselves. “The problem, though, is that we’re basically taking people’s word for it — that they are who they say they are, they’re from whatever country they’re from, when they say they don’t have any criminal history,” Jon Anfinsen, vice president of the Border Patrol Council, said. “Hopefully, they’re telling the truth. But we have no real way of knowing that.” Most countries don’t share criminal information with the United States. A source tells NewsNation that unless a host nation puts out an international alert, they don’t have access to other countries’ databases. https://www.newsnationnow.com/us-news/immigration/border-officials-fake-missing-documents-hard-identify-migrants/
