Burgundy Middle School parents- does anyone know why, over their next 3 weeks, 6th graders get a total of 3 hours on campus in Alexandria, 8th grader get 4.5 hours on campus, and 7th graders get a grand total of 1.5 hours on campus. What the hell? Who makes these completely inequitable schedules. It should 100% be an equal amount of time on campus for each grade. MAKE IT HAPPEN. We are all paying the same tuition. I have completely HAD it with this school and their ridiculous decision making!
Correction - 8th grade has 3 hours (but double 7th grade hours on campus).
What? Middle school gets more time on campus than early elementary? This makes no sense. Kindergarteners and first graders don't learn well over zoom. [/quote Their reopening plan is entirely illogical and not supported by public health or epidemics. When the weather best supports outdoor learning they only bring JK on. But once flu season starts they will bring EVERYONE on?! And they are not doing it phased. Just JK and then bam everyone else a month later. They should be phasing JK and K and 1 on a weekly basis in September. And I say this as a burgundy parent of older children who would not benefit from this arrangement.
