Burgundy Middle School parents- does anyone know why, over their next 3 weeks, 6th graders get a total of 3 hours on campus in Alexandria, 8th grader get 4.5 hours on campus, and 7th graders get a grand total of 1.5 hours on campus. What the hell? Who makes these completely inequitable schedules. It should 100% be an equal amount of time on campus for each grade. MAKE IT HAPPEN. We are all paying the same tuition. I have completely HAD it with this school and their ridiculous decision making!
Correction - 8th grade has 3 hours (but double 7th grade hours on campus).
What? Middle school gets more time on campus than early elementary? This makes no sense. Kindergarteners and first graders don't learn well over zoom.
Nothing Burgundy does makes sense these days. On October 1st we will SUPPOSEDLY switch to 5 day a week half days, rather than the hybrid model EVERY other school is planning (rotating full days a school and days at home). Who cares if parents have to work. Parents need to be a team player here, stop complaining online and figure out a way to pick up their kids at noon each day. No carpools outside your cohort allowed! But let’s be honest, they know it will be DL all year, so logistics don’t really matter.
