I have a stockpile of Nutella, wax wrapped cheese, and wine. I went to Costco for regular shopping because we are out of milk and paper towels. Paper towels, and water bottles are out of stock until later today. I am not going back though because it was so crazy. People were running with carts to get to the generic Costco toilet paper. Some people had carts loaded with toilet paper. Honestly buying one or two packs of TP when the coupons are out is stockpiling for a family. The canned food aisle with all the stuff that no one here ever buys like tuna fish, canned corn, canned chicken, canned beans was empty.
This was Target as well. No tp, and only banged up containers of Lysol wipes. Looked like a walking dead zone.
Walking Dead prompted my first prepper frenzy. We binged the first I don't know how many seasons, and every night I went to bed thinking "Why the HELL didn't anyone stockpile food???" A few weeks later, the cupboard above the fridge was crammed with my Prepper Pantry. We ended up eating a lot of it last summer, and I donated the rest. Now I'm back to staying awake nights thinking "How much rice do we have? What can we use for coffee creamer that isn't that awful powdered stuff? Canned pineapple isn't that bad, is it?"
