The US is exceedingly LAX wrt things like requiring background checks, registering guns, permitting almost completely unregulated gun purchases and trading. We are insane. The Swiss think we are insane--that uptight little country would NEVER fall into the stupid (non)regulatory landscape we have created for ourselves (thanks in large part to the NRA, whose policies reflect the desires of the firearm industry, not the best interests of the American people).[/quote]
