No, everyone on roster will get 5 years to play 5 years, not additional years. If they have two redshirts years, they don’t get years added on.

Current athletes who still had remaining eligibility after the 2025–26 academic year will be given a choice. They can use the new "5-in-5" model or continue under previous eligibility rules (four year to play five), depending on which is more beneficial to the individual player. That old model would still have traditional medical hardship waivers extending the timeline for certain players.[/quote]
