Modern weed is not the equivalent to that in previous decades, and there is lots of emerging research on the impact of marijuana on mental health. Sure, you can ignore the statistics and put yourself at risk, but unfortunately, society is paying a big cost for that risk-taking. We have a history of alcoholism in my family and I told my kids that they needed to take that into account BEFORE starting to drink because you don't know if you will be one of the people affected until it's too late.
