You have presented a mix of classic, "serious enough for an adult" names and golden retriever names.

I don't see how you can think Nikki and Lori and Carly, for example, are anywhere near the same as Hillary or Katherine or Emily, to be honest.  Completely different connotation.  Can you really not see that?

Hailey/Hayley is also a good name for a golden retriever.  Not a serious name for an adult human, as a PP noted.[/quote]

Please do tell us what the difference is between Hillary and Hayley, names that sound virtually the same. Or Emily and Hayley.

I personally think Nikki is a terrible name. But I also think her presence on the political scene is evidence that concern about golden retriever, unserious names is pretty silly, especially when paired with statements like "Hillary and Emily are 'serious enough' but Hayley isn't".
