Stephen Miller announced today that the federal government is offering $50k signing bonuses for entry level "Homeland Defender" positions that require no education and no experience. The job announcement indicates that these positions are remote so apparently are given an exception to the RTO rules across the rest of the federal government. They are also using Direct Hire Authority in order to just hire anyone who applies that fits their definition of a "patriot."

The job description is not that far off (except for the subjective “patriot” part) from other positions that have long existed within USCIS and did not require advanced degrees. 
No college degree is something new, but it is truly equity. Not everyone can afford college, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be good at this job.[/quote]
