Even though Cornell is MUCH better known internationally than Northwestern, I think Northwestern is more desirable for most US students academically and socially. If you're a NY resident applying to ILR, I'd give Cornell a huge edge. That said, both are great so apply ED where kid thinks he'll be happiest.[/quote]
