Yes, any given woman is far more statistically likely to be harmed by a man than a bear. But that is because we encounter men more often than bears. If I had the choice of encountering a random man in the wild vs. not encountering one, or encountering a woman, clearly I would [u]not[/u] pick encountering the random man. If I had a choice of encountering a random man vs. a grizzly bear in the wild, I would pick the random man. I have a better chance of successfully fighting him off than the bear, and even if I couldn't, he's less likely to eat my intestines while I am still living.[/quote]
