because of online school learning 
50% of seniors gradating from high school this year will only have 6.5 years of education.
in 6 years from now they will only have a KINDERGRADEN education.
Kids don't learn anything online.  70% of  5th grades don't know basic math skills because schools shutdown  
50% of 5th graders are 60% of 4th graders don't know colors or abcs. 50% of 3rd graders don't even know how to use scissors and the other half don't know English or Spanish.  
I am not sure what we are going to do for the next 12 years.

Schools were not shut down, they were virtual.  And, if your kids didn't do virtual school that was on you.  If your kids don't have basic schools and you didn't work with them, that's on you.  3rd graders were not really impacted by covid.  This isn't a covid issue.[/quote]

PEP is a different program and not part of the discussion.  Many of us work and still managed just fine.  Why couldn't you?  You are talking about 3rd graders barely impacted.  Covid is not the reason why kids are struggling.  The changes in the school system, curriculum and lack of parent support are bigger issues.[/quote]

Maybe if you had spend the time helping your kids vs posting here and using the free resources like tutoring it could have worked for your kids.  Plenty of people worked and figured it out, why can’t you!   What are your kids doing now not in school?[/quote]

I would think someone with your background and experience would understand that some kids cannot learn without substantial supports that can't be provided by the school virtually. It's great that you were able to quit your job to provide those supports to your child with special needs, but not everyone is that privileged.[/quote]
