OP here. Thanks for your honesty! I recently lost a lot of weight and this is one of the dresses I have that still fits nicely. I have a more formal/cocktail dress that I thought might be too formal, but I guess I was wrong! I appreciate you!
OP, way to go on the weight loss. Hope you feel great. It can be tricky to figure out what to wear and how to dress when you’re a new size or shape or your proportions have changed. But this might be a perfect excuse to treat yourself to a new outfit. The dress you have is a wrap style, which is great. Maybe stick with that style, but get a more formal/party/ cocktail version of a wrap. Or how about separates, like a cool formal top with a fit and flare skirt or slim pants? That way, you get the best fit for both top and bottom. Some good advice I follow is to buy the size of your biggest ‘part’ and then get the rest tailored down. The Adrianna Papell website has lots of options. It’s not super-fashion-forward, but as others have written, we can maybe over-think wedding guest attire. Hope you find something you feel great in, and if that’s the black wrap dress you already have, then you will rock it!!!
