At least with the house in a good school district you're only paying once for the combo of housing and education. To have your kids attend private school, you have to pay the school fees for K-12 PLUS pay for a home. If you lose your job you are still paying for your home, you just might be paying less than you would in a better school district, and your kids aren't getting either the best (private) or second best (top public district) education anymore anyway.[/quote]
