Justin’s thoughts on the newborn stage: “It's so hard to sum that up, but I just love looking into his eyeballs,” Theroux raved of his newborn son. “It's just beautiful, it's just a wonderful thing. We're in that period now where it's just, of course, quiet, a lot of tiptoeing around the house, beautiful, occasional crying. Yeah, it's wonderful.” He likes looking into his eyeballs?! Also you don’t need to tiptoe around newborn babies. Occasional crying? This guy sounds like an idiot and totally checked out. Either Nicole or the nanny is doing the heavy lifting. He is clueless.
That clip is going around SM. It does not bode well. And I didn’t recognize him at first. He’s really messed up his face.
Of course he's clueless, and of course she's the one doing the work (with nanny help, surely). The apartment is not large--they probably are worried about making noise and waking the baby up. Especially with a dog who might bark.
Newborns sleep like a rock. They don’t even need darkness. The fact that Justin thinks a newborn needs absolute silence to sleep is telling.
Erm, a barking dog would definitely wake up a baby. And not all babies sleep like a rock. One of mine did not, at all.
Newborns do. Google it.
I had two, Google not necessary!
I’m not talking baby stage, like 3 months and up. I’m talking newborn stage when they sleep 14-19 hrs/day and only wake to eat. They are very sleepy. The newborn period is short. It’s a well documented fact that they sleep like rocks. Only very loud noises may startle them. In fact, you are encouraged to not be quiet in that phase so they aren’t over sensitive later.
