Yep, I am not happy she had access to my contact information somehow.  My kid is not on her team and she cold called me trying to pressure me into getting my team to make this move as well and it was extremely uncomfortable.  Thankfully we spoke to people at GFR and they helped set things straight.  [/quote]

Because for some asinine reason this club decided to try to start up in the middle of a travel season.  Which should just show you what inept fools the guys (and gals) running this club are.  To try to get into NCSL they need rosters of at least a certain percentage of an existing team to register.  So, they were trying to get the majority or even all of the players from a team to leave GFR and move to Riverbend as an intact team.  It honestly sounds like a couple people with a huge vendetta against GFR because they didn't get their way and now they are trying to use their influence over a few TM's and their money to start up this new club.   A few parents with younger kids who don't know better were going along with it but luckily a few knew better and spoke up before anything happened.  I don't care what people do after the Spring but this was downright dirty and unethical and I hope Riverbend fails because of it.  (and yes, we did consider going at one point but thankfully a few GFR parents and staff helped us and are able to confirm our team is not being torn apart and our coach is not being fired like that RBFC board member/GFR TM tried to tell us!)[/quote]
