It is to provide an educational system that serves ALL students. If families would like to opt out of that system that is fine, but then they should pay for that choice. You don't get money back from the government if you choose not to take the public bus system and buy a car instead, or if your house never burns down and you don't utilize the services of the local fire department. Because those services are there for everyone, whether you need them/use them or not. [/quote]
