Feds do pay into it (increasingly for newer hires). Do you wish that other workplaces would offer $0 toward retirement benefits that were promised at the time of hiring? My DH is private sector and gets employee stock in addition to his 401k. Are you upset that he is given stock as part of his compensation or is that type of benefit ok because he works for a large company and only the private sector employees deserve anything nice?[/quote]
