That is the heart of the problem for Republicans. Nobody is calling them "weird" just to score points -- it's because they really, truly are getting weirder and weirder. That resonates, unlike some made-up response.

It's the entire Emperor's New Clothes thing. Once someone points it out, there's a landslide of commentary because -- well, because the guy's actually naked. Or fawning over Hannibal Lector, or posting his dolphin sex fetish history, or any of it. Guys, it's just f'ing weird. [/quote]
