So what? Pride’s A teams generally play vastly superior competition than MC Elite’s A teams. For example, look at the competition faced by Pride’s 2027 Red team at LFTC as opposed to MC Elite’s Midnight 2027 team at Champions Cup. Not even close. In addition, the same Pride team destroyed Stars Light Blue in the fall, while the same MC Elite team was just destroyed by Stars Light Blue in the Champions Cup. Stop pretending that MC Elite is in the same league as Pride. MC Elite’s A teams are generally as good as Pride’s B teams. As a club, Pride certainly has issues, but their teams are much stronger than MC Elite’s. [/quote]

NP here.  I don’t know the MS landscape so I defer but I think things do change in HS when a lot of girls leave other DC area clubs for Capital. It is a bummer bc I think Capital is pretty set prior to tryouts in that they know who they want (don’t mean for this to be a value judgment but rather statement of fact).  Also the Baltimore clubs seem to be set too in that they stay together from MS.  So, it is a bummer for girls not in those pipelines and there are a lot of them.  I think that is why this thread keeps going.  Because MoCo, DC and close-in Virginia are looking for a landing spot.[/quote].

Agree with everything you’ve said here.  Pride is the next best landing spot if you look at the rankings. They lose kids to Capital Blue but that opens up opportunities for kids from MC Elite and Stars who also didn’t make Capital Blue. [/quote]

If you are looking for 2026 (rising sophomores), I am not sure this is the case.  My understanding is the Pride MS teams for that grad year broke up, or at least the one that won the National Championship in MS had most girls leave (and I thought the B team had many starters leave too).  And if I am reading the rankings correctly, Pride ranking is in the 90s? I think a lot of the girls went to Capital but a handful play for MCE and other clubs.  Also, upthread, someone suggested Heroes White as a good 26 landing spot but I saw they have been getting beat by pretty large goal differentials lately and that feels different than when Heroes Green and White were evenly matched back when 26 was in MS.

A lot of us assume we know a lot about the club landscape (including me) when we really just know about the year our daughter plays, and even then, I couldn't tell you a lot about teams with whom I am not familiar.  My conclusion is 2026 is not black and white other than to say the Baltimore teams (Hero's Green, both M&D, Skywalkers, Integrity) and Capital are solid.  But they also probably aren't taking players.  Also, I have come to the conclusion that every club has strong and weak grad years - and some clubs are wildly different between grad class - so you really need to make sure you are listening to information about your daughter's grade.[/quote]

Agree with this too. The 2026 class is a weak year for Pride for some reason. But the prior 2023, 2024, and 2025 Pride classes were the best options after the Baltimore clubs and Capital. I know families with kids on the 2027 and 2028 Pride teams, and I think for those years Pride will continue to be the next best option for DMV families after the top players from the area move to Capital, but you definitely have to keep track of the situation for your specific year as it is evolving.
