I'm the PP whose kid scored 119. We parent referred only b/c the AART strongly encouraged it and took care of the work samples.

Just to be clear, I'm not necessarily saying that your child doesn't belong in AAP. I'm only saying that I don't believe it should simultaneously be true that your child belongs in it and a 140 NNAT child does not.[/quote]

Some of you place too much emphasis on the NNAT score which is only a SNAPSHOT of a 1st grader 18 months ago... A NNAT score alone without a Cogat score doesn't show a trend of cognitive development. Also, 1st graders are not always the best test takers. [/quote]
