I received the email today saying that my son was not accepted for level IV. He is currently in 5th grade at private school. We had a WISC V taken in December. He scored a 131. Can anyone recommend what would be the best test for an appeal? We went to GMU for the WISC V. Is there another alternative to GMU or should we stick with that?
132 on the NNAT or COGAT is normally the in pool score used by FCPS. A 131 WISC would probably mean that your child would not have been in-pool for FCPS based on the NNAT or COGAT, the tests are proxies for the WISC. There really isn't another test that is seen as being equivalent to the WISC. You need to wait a certain number of years before you take the WISC again so I don't think you have another test option.
