I've followed this fairly closely and I couldn't answer that question, since Reid's recommendations have not been made public.

There were definitely things in Scenario 4 that, unless cured, seem like they'd lead some board members to vote against the package.

But you've now got an 11-person board (Braddock seat is vacant) with six members (Sandy Anderson, Seema Dixit, Karl Frisch, Robyn Lady, Kyle McDaniel, and Marcia St. John Cunning) who'll likely be rubber stamps, either because they are party hacks who need to declare this botched review a "success," are tired of it, or want to see a particular change go through, even if some of the other changes are shit. That's exactly why that vacant seat will be so important.  That 'bloc' makes some really boneheaded decisions. The guy running for the Lake Braddock open seat ,Tom Dannan, was endorsed by every single person mentioned in the 'bloc' and not endorsed by any of the more rational and independent thinkers on the board. You've trotted this out before but (1) you offered no proof; (2) the School Board has nothing to do with casino legislation; and (3) it's not the hot issue in Braddock that it is in Providence, Hunter Mill, or Dranesville.
