I get that, as a whole, the Republican Party has that vibe. I’m talking about individual people. I’m from a small town in the south, ultra conservative. I’ve had conversations like this with individual people and I can’t think of a single man who would say it’s better that his wife or daughter die with the fetus rather than have a life saving abortion. I can think of a few women who were so opposed they say they wouldn’t kill their baby to save themselves but I don’t think they’d really refuse a life saving abortion if the fetus couldn’t survive anyway. That’s what I’m saying-given these real world examples, how can a person say these states are on the right path? I just don’t get it. [/quote]

That's because they don't care about anyone but themselves and don't think it will ever happen to them because they better than the women who might need an abortion.
