I'm only realizing through this incident that it is common for kids with ankle monitors to attend the regular MCPS high schools. Is this just for kids who have been convicted of petty crimes? Or is it possible that someone convicted of sexual assault or some other violent crime could be attending one of the high schools?[/quote]

Petty crimes?  You're kidding, right?  Again, ankle bracelets are for: 
1. Violent Crimes & Weapons charges.
2. Serious Felonies.
3. Sex Offenses.
4. High-Risk Pre-Trial

Powder-puff kids don't get ankle bracelets - the kids one step away from incarceraton do.[/quote]
