Navy is a split feeder. About 60% go to Oakton and 40% go to Chantilly.
Some of the AAP kids go to South Lakes via Langston Hughes
Navy doesn't feed into either of those. Only Oakton and Chantilly (very few, like 10%). Curious how it will be when they do the boundary changes.
Crossfield ES is the only elementary that sends kids to Navy for AAP. One neighborhood that goes to Crossfield sends kids to Hughes/South Lakes. Based on the number of kids that go to Navy from Crossfield, I'd guess this is 0 or 1 child every year.
I’ve never heard of this. What neighborhood is that?
Crossfield is a split feeder to South Lakes and Oakton High. The neighborhood immediately north of crossfield goes to South Lake. https://www.fcps.edu/academics/elementary/advanced-academic-programs/advanced-academic-level-iv-school See this chart, Crossfield AAP is feeding to Navy and then Carson and Hughes.
I already identified the actual neighborhood: Fox Mill Woods. It’s across from the Catholic Church off of Lawyers. They go to South Lakes.
This - it's zoned to Crossfield because it's directly behind the school and kids can walk there. I highly doubt that anyone from that neighborhood would send their kids to Navy for AAP though, when they are going to a different middle school and high school.
Correct. That’s what I said earlier too. Those parents will usually choose to stay at base for local level 4 so they can at least have some peers that may go to South Lakes. Unless they want Navy, Carson, South Lakes. Does Crossfield get Carson as their middle school AAP center?
Yes, all of Crossfield goes to Carson (AAP and Gen Ed).
CAN YOU NOT READ????? As many people have already said, there is one neighborhood at Crossfield that goes to Hughes/South Lakes.
Can you not follow threads? I posted that before others corrected me. Sorry I didn’t know that like a dozen kids go from Crossfield to Hughes. Sounds like a situation ripe for redistricting. Maybe that’s why you’re so angry? Scared?
That neighborhood is in walking distance to crossfield. They won’t be taken from Crossfield. However, they may get moved to a different middle school which probably be Carson. That would actually be a welcome change!
