It’s DCU academy’s MO. Then being at Dcu stunts their development so they leave. Or they just use the academy name to play D1 (not a terrible plan) or pray to his dcu has some plan for them. [/quote]

All the MLS academies send more players to college than professional ranks.
Hardly any to top tier professional levels.
So they all suck.

This is actually a very good point.  The academy system in the US isn't the greatest generally because we are a young footballing culture.  But it's getting better.  What we are talking about here is really lesser of evils.  If you're choosing among mediocre choices generally because this is all you have you best pick the least mediocre option.  DCU isn't even mediocre.  It is one of the worst academy systems in the MLS.   It has so much potential that isn't being realized because the leadership from top to bottom doesn't get it.  [/quote]
