Ultimately, more challenging academics early prepare you for more challenging academics later. And for most of these kids, the college they go to isn't terribly important as long as they get into a top 50-100 school because this will not be their terminal degree. If they can get into a top 10 school then undergrad might make a difference but a doctor that went to johns hopkins medical school and harvard undergrad is almost indistinguishable from one that went to harvard medical school and maryland undergrad. Same for lawyers. Same for pretty much every graduate degree.[/quote]
