She said she wants to recruit and - this is extremely important - to retain, highly effective teachers.

The current school board has sent teachers fleeing, into other jurisdictions, other states, or into retirement.

She also said she will prioritize school security and safety.

That’s important to me.  The current board seems to be doing the opposite.

The current board has made our schools less safe, with their muddled efforts at “restorative justice” seem designed more to keep violent bullies in school, and put the interests of violent kids ahead of a safe learning environment for all kids.[/quote]
