Ben Wikler has been chair of Wis Dems and is an excellent organizer! If you want to help build back the Blue Wall, give to them. But be a monthly donor as it helps them plan long term. So, instead of $70 now, give $10 per month April - Nov. [/quote]

That’s odd.  Wouldn’t having 70$ in hand be better (or at least equally as good) than having a pledge for 70$ from a planning perspective? I take your larger point that Wis Dems need support.  [/quote]

It would seem like it, but the problem with this is that the charity has no idea whether that was a $70 one time donation or that they'll get that regularly.

Look at it from this perspective.  Would you rather have $1000 in the bank but no idea whether you would be getting any money for the next 6 months?  Or would you rather have $400 in the bank and know that you'll get $100 every month for the next 6 months?  From a planning perspective, it's hard to know how to budget the money.  Can you spend more now?  Do you have to conserve to cover the low donation months?  When are those going to happen?[/quote]
