No, not running out. Will let all the eager beavers waste their time. There will be a surplus in a months time and over half the country or more I are not vaxxing their young children at all.
There is plenty now. Everyone I know who wants to vaccinate their children was able to secure a spot this week. It was maybe tricky for about 36 hours, and now you have plenty of options. There is no reason to wait.
Where is there plenty? At some random clinic in Alexandria? Our pediatrician office is out for now (limited initial supply) and county clinics are booked up. Now, I don’t feel the need to spend hours on the internet searching for the soonest available appointment like I did for my elderly great-aunt back in the winter, my kid can wait a few days. But to act like the vaccine is readily available to anyone who wants it right now us a bit disingenuous IMO.
I went on cvs website, found and booked appointment in 2 minutes. Went to appointment, no one else there, shot done 90 seconds after we walked in. But, whatever, keep waiting so you don’t waste time.
Do you live in the DMV? That wasn’t my experience at all. Closest appointment I could get was at a Walgreens over an hour away. We are here now. Our appointment was for 11:15. It’s now 11:44 an least 15 people ahead of us. CVS was booked solid within 100 miles of DC through December. If you don’t live here your post is irrelevant. If you live here you got incredibly lucky, not the norm at all so your post is still irrelevant.
NP. I live in Vienna. In less than a min using my zip code I found the following pharmacies have openings tomorrow for the 5-11 vaccine: Walmart in Tysons is wide open, Walgreens in Sterling has a few left. I didn’t check the mass sites.
