His car dealership was almost certainly raided in connection with the property fraud lawsuit he lost last year (in the court papers, there’s evidence of some level of criminal investigation). There were also some rumors of immigration violations (appeared to have been started by the aggrieved party in that lawsuit; no idea if accurate or not). I would place good money on the fact that they found the CP images incidentally during that investigation while examining his hard drive. This is actually not unusual in CP possession cases, because it’s such a hard thing to get enough evidence of for a warrant without already having access to a defendant’s computer.[/quote]
