This changes things radically for the Green team because in the past, the top 1-2 Green players could dual roster and move up. With SYC dual rostering with ECNL, that option likely goes away. Same for SYC second team.

For current ECNL playes, the biggest downer about this is team dynamic--you are now a part of a larger team playing acros two leagues (which could have its positives and negatives). My kid likes having a smaller close knit team. But on the flip side, being able to play in MLS is attractive (we prefer ECNL for many reasons, but getting to play new teams in a different league is always a good thing)...
