^^And actually proves the point. A single game or even a couple is not indicative of team strength. We’ve all seen better teams lose. A low scoring win should not be used to determine team strength, unless it is most games.
What does any of this have to do with Vda?
Personally, I don't see a specific VDA connection, but as a general thought that includes VDA by default, wins and losses, in league, showcase, friendlies, or whatever else that are close games within a goal, the presumption should be good competition and an even match.
Why was there so many VDA 06 players at the FCV tryouts? if VDA 06 is so good why not stay at VDA. Does the club know they are unhappy? As a FVC 06 parent this is so telling that VDA is still on its way down-hill. it is laughable.
How many is “so” many? 3?
3 is a lot when we are talking about some of your top players, No?
Would VDA care of losing those 3 players that believe and dream they’re NT material? or would VDA care more about keeping +20 other ones with more realistic expectations?
VDA would be okay with those kids leaving. Have fun with the throwaways.
If those 06 players leave there must be a reason why. VDA is not the best at sending children to the training centers and it used to be that the only ones sent were the PWSI favorites that quite frankly weren’t good enough to be pulled to begin with but the club sent them because they were the coaches favorites. It is crystal clear in every age group who should be going to NT but they never get chances to go, that really does need to change and honestly if FCV has a proven track record of sending players when VDA doesn’t why not change clubs?
Unless you're in DA, you have an uphill climb to get into an NT camp. I suspect USSF scouts are instructed to look primarily at DA players. ECNL players that have in the past gone to NT's are falling off the list. FCV has a distinct advantage with NT placement because of the direct connection to USSF scouting. If NT is a goal, your DD should be shooting for a GDA spot somewhere, preferably FCV or Alexandria. It is not clear that there is enough supporting talent to show a truly exceptional player to their best advantage at MU.
I have heard that (Di Dr) literally tells players that if they don’t leave ECNL and go DA they will not be able to continue going to NTC. This is insane and if true that needs to be reported. ECNL has some of the top talent around, and the only player that has been moved up to actually play on the U16 National team roaster is Jill from Richmond which is an ECNL club. If your good enough and you have someone supporting you, you will get your chance but if it is true that a US TC scout is actually telling kids they must leave ECNL and move to DA to get that chance that needs to be reported and investigated as a conflict of interest and that person should be removed for that position.
DA and US Soccer are going to invite the players they want to. This has always been the big stick that DA carries but has not used it yet. Just business
That’s the truest statement, However they use that stick all the time.
