Teams can only have an 18 person roster for the Olympics, so regardless there will be changes to the WC roster.
So which five players would you drop? Lloyd, who is 36, will probably retire because she was not happy with her playing time. I would drop Harris (33), Krieger (34), Long (31) and probably Rapinoe (34). These players will be 37, 34, 35, 32, and 35 by the time of the Olympics. Only Rapinoe was a regular starter at the world cup, but she will be one year older and slower. If you really want to keep Rapinoe, I guess it would have to either cut Press (30) or McDonald (31).
I'd have to look at prior Olympic rosters, but I'd imagine that they always only take 2 GKs. That takes care of 1 of the 5 spots. I agree with you that maybe they cut Harris (33) and keep Franch (28) as the backup GK for the Olympics, since the latter is more likely to be in the 2023 conversation at GK given her age. To make the numbers work, you'd probably also drop at a minimum 1 forward, 1 MF and 1 defender. "Easy" choices would seem to be McDonald (31), Long (31) and Krieger (34), respectively, at those positions, primarily because of their lack of playing time in France, and the fact that their current age likely means their remaining time on the NT will be short. So that would take care of 4 of the 5 cuts. That leaves the following among the bench players from the 2019 WC roster, with a minimum of 1 cut needed: Defenders: Davidson (20) and Sonnett (25). I'd think Davidson is a lock, given she is really good and also versatile enough to play all 4 positions as a defender. I could also see Sonnett possibly not making the team and some young up-and-comer replacing her, like Emily Fox or Hailie Mace. Plus, if injuries on the back line arise, Ertz can always be dropped back as one of the CBs. MFs: Horan (25) and Brian (26). Horan obviously makes the team over Brian, who like Sonnett may be replaced by another younger MF in the national pool. Andi Sullivan maybe? Forwards: Lloyd (36), Press (30) and Pugh (21). I agree with you that Lloyd is absolutely the most likely person to be the last cut from the Olympic team. She has been amazing, but her time with the NT is over. I'd like to see some of her minutes go to Pugh, but Press is quite good.
