No the point is most of the other council members need the black vote on their side to stay elected (obviously for mayor, and at-large positions but many of the other wards too) [/quote]

Oh so you're assertion is that Mendelson, Grosso, Silverman, Nadeau, Evans, Cheh, and Allen chose to let Trayon White slide on this issue in order to further their political futures?

Oh I agree, but at the end of the day most politicians have the same goal stay in office/power and messing with the black vote in DC (and most other cities) is political suicide[/quote]
