All we know is what the N Koreans have said and what the parents of this student have said. The N Koreans have made claims about what Otto allegedly did. We have no evidence that what they are claiming is true. Yet, we have his roommate saying he did nothing wrong. Do the N Koreans have video of the incident? No. Did Otto have the poster he presumably tore down in his effects? No. I don’t believe what they have said. They wanted a bargaining chip and Otto was it. The parents have said the Obama administration did little to help. They never met with Obama. This administration never contacted anyone who was with Otto at the time he was detained to get their side of the story. The Trump administration took quick action. They were able to bring him home through diplomacy. As Otto’s parents have said, “The results speak for themselves.”
The diplomatic process began on June 6 when State Department Special Representative Joseph Yun met with North Korean UN Mission Ambassador Pak Kil-yon in New York City and learned of Warmbier's deteriorating health condition, according to a senior State Department official. After that meeting in New York, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson consulted with President Donald Trump and instructed Yun to prepare to travel to North Korea with the intent of bringing Warmbier back to the United States, the official told CNN. A US delegation made up of Yun and a medical team was sent to North Korea on Monday to secure Warmbier's release, the official said, adding that they demanded to visit Warmbier upon arrival in Pyongyang. Yun and two doctors visited Warmbier that morning, marking the first time the US was able to confirm his status since he was sentenced in March 2016. Yun immediately demanded that Warmbier be released on humanitarian grounds and arrangements were made for him to leave North Korea. February 2017 to present: Secretary Tillerson briefs President Trump on the situation. President Trump directs Secretary Tillerson to take all appropriate measures to secure the release of American hostages in North Korea. Tillerson begins the effort and routinely updates the President.
http://www.cnn.com/2017/06/13/politics/otto-warmbier-north-korea-release-tic-toc/index.html
You are correct. The amount of people on DCUM who are willing to believe a forced testimony as well as the North Koreans speaks to the absolute gullibility of liberals. Buzz is that Kim Jung Idiot is afraid of being assassinated now that Trump is in power. And he knows if he unleashes nukes or makes any other serious moves, he's a dead man. The Chinese are no longer playing ball the way he wants and the Iranians aren't strong enough to protect him. It's time from China to stop supplying the little goon with all his luxuries and make him live like he forces his people to live. That will finish him.
