Since we were new to travel we went to 3 tryouts with only 2 being ones that we wanted to join.  The other was to just check it out and all the clubs are local enough in our area.  I would suggest to do the same.  Talk to parents while at the tryout.  Ask questions.  Most coaches will link you up with the team manager who is typically a parent to answer some questions.  Check out a practice, if you ask the coach they will ask you to attend a practice ahead of time.  Overall we had a good time and my son got to [b]play scrimmage[/b] with other kids.  We didnt feel any pressure nor did my kid.  Also I felt at this age you make it into most clubs so pick one that is convenient.[/quote]

Please tell me that's a typo and you didn't actually mean to type that.  They mean the same thing by the way, and I knew that when I was 12 and our basketball team would set up scrimmages to practice.[/quote]
