How would a safe word have helped? CB wouldn’t have known it… She didn’t actually talk to JR. Maybe there was a safe word for all we know. Maybe JR saw she was terrified and checked, “Grover?” And CB, terrified for her life, was like “WTF are you talking about?”

This totally! It has been repeated many times, JR had no history of violence towards women. He wasn't a rapist, he was a guy who was murdered ruthlessly while believing he was play acting with a woman he thought invited him over to do this and left the door unlocked for him. It is reported that he thought he had been communicating with her for weeks, and that he spoke to her on the phone first thinking this was consensual play. He was tricked, and murdered, while Christine was tricked into thinking her husband wanted to be married to her and would love and protect her. They were tricked, trapped, and brutally murdered because BB thought it would be exciting to commit a thrill kill murder and fool everyone. Do not play into his hands as witnesses. He was a disgusting monster that took their lives with the help of his lover the nanny JM. [/quote]

It would seem more likely that BB  forced JR to hold CB down at gunpoint in order for JR to be shot in the “correct position”. It seems like a vulnerable point in BB’s plan to rely on JR sticking to the script when he was an innocent. Perhaps he even tried to force JR to stab CB so that his scenario would fit.

I’m embarrassed that I know this isn’t consistent with what the commonwealth allege the forensic evidence shows. According to some of the information disclosed he was likely kneeling when he was shot.
