MLS already made a "smart" business decision to implement MLS2 mostly to take over anything ECNL and other lesser leagues have gained. Over time MLS will continue to gain more and more of the boys market. Eventually ECNL will be known as a girls league only even more than it already is. [/quote]

MLSN2 is an overshoot and many players and parents are not excited about the excessive travel, cost and commitment to play in a lower tier league (tier 3 behind EcNL).  Some of these MLS2 games are of embarrassing quality too  I don’t see that changing even if they change to SY. The idea that MLSN2 replaces ECNL is not a bet I would make. [/quote]
