This is because SOCAL league ends in Jan/Feb so this is when next season SOCAL tryouts start. Because the u12s are going to be GA/ECNL they do tryouts for these teams at this time as well. Olders GA/ECNL official tryouts will be around April/May. But most parents will just call the coach of the team they want to play on and ask if their kid can jump in on a session for evaluation.[/quote]
