Some areas, there isn't a choice between GA or ECNL - the area is serviced by one, not the other.    Unless we were driving over an hour, we only had one option.

It's worked out well for us so far.

As far as the GA all-star teams that played the Euro clubs at the Generation Adidas Cup, I think that was a good first step.  As the event grows on the girls side, I can see it being more GA teams playing euro club teams much like the boys side.

The ENCL National Selection games at their showcases are ok events.  A chance for clubs to get some of their top players recognized and play at a higher level environment.  It's the same as their year end conference cup that they have held in CA in August.  Similar "all-star" type event getting clubs to have a few of their players seen and play at a high level.
