Amen. It blows my mind that in this era of difficulty in balancing budgets we have:

Sports team with trainers
Orchestras, bands and choruses
Art
Foreign Language
Computer and technical classes
Debate, Odyssey of the Mind and a whole slew of academic "bowl" teams
After school programs and late buses
IB, AP and honors classes
PE

These should all be cut.  In fact, I think the Amish have a point. There is zero need to educate kids above 8th grade.

True, let's just let our children be narrow minded, ignorant of outside of the us,  just because you have no aspirations or exposure or to the rest of the world is short changing your kids,  You should consider living in middle America where they also don't take kindly to them foreigners and don't take to change.[/quote]
