The paternity testing circus is about to start. What I can't get past is why his death was not preventable.
You can't get past the fact that his death was preventable. The intersection of chronic pain, religion, opiates, and trying to maintain privacy in a kardashian world is a dangerous place. I think Prince's need for extreme privacy and his reliance on a tight, trusted circle ultimately contributed to his dependence on opiates. People like Prince don't listen to outsiders. They have to maintain control at all times. I think he would still be alive today if one the people in his circle said "you WILL stay at this hospital in IL!" But then that person risks getting fired and getting kicked out of the inner circle. Gravy train and access afforded by an association with Prince ends. It's terrible. I'm so sad that he's gone.
