[/quote] What restaurants want is a Mayor who actually cares about what affects their businesses---crime, wage rates that put them out of business, city planning that doesn't destroy their livelihoods. Am looking specifically at GGW/JLG idea to make 18th St in Adams Morgan a pedestrian mall, aka a loitering magnet for the drug-addicted, mentally ill, and their dealers. Restaurants don't need handouts if they have a government who can actually grasp economic realities. [/quote]
