How did we get a thread of SYC v. Loudoun 2014 parents fighting it out. Hilarious. Arlington is the best local 2014G team that I have seen this year by a wide margin.
No one cares about SYC other than u-littles parents. They are a non-factor at older ages.
They just got GA 2 1/2 years ago and prior to that, talented players left. But the talented players are now staying and they are attracting kids from multiple surrounding clubs. The stats support much higher levels of teams at SYC for the 2012 and younger age groups.
The 2012 team is already showing signs of breaking apart. The other ages will follow the same path as the best players will eventually leave.
Over reliance on athleticism and physicality in u little age groups focused too much on winning and rankings combined SYC instagram hype culture is not a recipe for success.
Tell me a club in this area that develops players better than SYC in recent years. When you compare boys’ and girls’ pathways, very few clubs come close—maybe Bethesda is the closest. Losing one player from the 2012 GA team doesn’t mean the team is falling apart, they actually added good talent so let’s keep the conversation grounded in facts.
The facts are the boys have nothing to do with the girls. The 2012 team is losing one player away from being a run of the mill GA team. They already cannot compete with the ECNL teams and have gotten worked by the better teams at GA events. Thems the facts but keep holding on.
Thanks, Coach Bobby. Honestly, no one on this forum is interested in your recruiting updates. The 2012 GA team has depth and has already brought in new players for next year. Let’s keep the discussion on track.
Brought in new players? Were they free agents not playing in teams or were they recruited? See how that works? Everyone knows about the SYC u-little recruiting. Now SYC is trying to compete outside the Instagram age groups.
Got it, Bobby—you’re the master of the older age groups and a world‑class recruiter. Impressive. Now let’s bring the conversation back to the 2014s and keep the ranting elsewhere.
DB is the only coach that posts here. Widely known. BP is probably sending his 500th update email of the week.
