This is NOT in anyone’s best interest, and the trump administration would be right to make changes here, specifically:

SNAP benefits should have the same food restrictions as WIC. It’s really not rocket science and it shouldn’t be a Democratic or Republican thing. We should be supplemented fruits and vegetables and protein, not sugar. [/quote]

Right but some starches are metabolized as sugar, such as potatoes or some squash. Are we going to say ok, you can buy sweet potatoes but not Yukon gold?
