If there wasn’t so much low hanging fruit they wouldn’t be focusing on it. Thanks Biden.
More like Thanks Trump 1.0. Look at this first term deportation numbers compared to Biden's.
Comparing deportations between Biden and Trump is simply an attempt at manipulating data. Biden allowed in upward of 10 million illegal aliens.
Where's the data to prove this? It's just another MAGA talking point.
MAGA can't keep the figure straight. Sometimes Trump says it's 10 million--other times he says it's 20 million. He also often implies or outright says that many are dangerous criminals (rapists, murderers, etc.).
The fact that you don't believe this is actually sad. You are either totally ignorant or you have not been paying attention. Or, perhaps your sources don't report on these things because it would cause progressives' heads to burst. [twitter]https://x.com/BillMelugin_/status/1907794852072612129[/twitter] [twitter]https://x.com/BillMelugin_/status/1912181516169285762[/twitter] [twitter]https://x.com/charliekirk11/status/1834643686321537065[/twitter] [twitter]https://x.com/EROBoston/status/1935870091612012587[/twitter] [twitter]https://x.com/ICEgov/status/1920108860209340525[/twitter] I could go on.... but you get the idea. This is just the tip of the iceberg.
I would agree that anytime you are talking about a large population, there will be criminals in that population. (Hey, almost 1 out of every 100 people in the US is behind bars, for a jail/prison population of around 2 million). And supposedly the administration was going to start by targeting the worst criminals, but that is not what is happening. In his first term he was supposedly prioritizing criminal aliens, but in fact he was more obsessed about asylum seekers, and he actually RELEASED criminal aliens in order to make room for asylum seekers. But they are also snatching up people who are here LEGALLY (not just talking about TPS or asylees, but people who have green cards or are in the process of getting green cards, and in some cases about to gain actual citizenship) whose only offenses are misdemeanors resolved many years ago or writing op-eds expression opinions Trump doesn't like.
The PP keeps pretending the handful of violent criminals represents meaningful numbers, but it doesn't. Nobody disputes that they have deported hundreds of violent criminals. But what we can and do dispute is that it's any meaningful percentage. ICE's numbers and data have been FOIA'd and out of the thousands and thousands deported, the number of actual violent criminals, or for that matter people with any kind of criminal background whatsoever, is single digit percentages. Even the right wing CATO Institute has confirmed that with its FOIA requests.
